Tobacco Conversation
The Mural Arts Program has partnered with SmokeFree Philly and the Department of Public health to bring the public a smoking cessation and resource education workshop. We had a great turnout and discussion about many aspects of tobacco and health. Thanks so much SmokeFree Philly! |
National Children's Mental Health Awareness Day
Focusing on the unique needs of young adults and children, this national event engaged youth and the greater community in a dialogue about the roll of mental health in young lives. |
Faith and Spiritual Affairs Conference
This conference was hosted in partnership with the Department of Behavioral Health and disAbility services to create awareness and provide information on how faith communities assist in the healing of individuals who have experienced traumatic events. Thanks for making it a great event everyone! |
May 9, 2013 - Wellness Project Kick Off in Love Park
The Community Wellness Kick Off on May 9 went well! The project started with a bang in Love Park during DBHIDS' Shattering The Stigma event highlighting children's mental health. We are so grateful to those partners who were able to make it out for the event.

Market East Series Art Workshops
Wellness workshops at the Market East Street Series were a big success!
About the series: New life and vibrancy is being injected into the East Market Street corridor between City Hall and Sixth Street, thanks to a partnership between the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB) and MARKET8. Beyond the Paint
This event was located at our Beyond the Paint exhibition at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and gave participants the chance to experience the exhibit, showcasing the cumulative work of 30 years of community engaged art-making in Philadelphia. Thanks for attending everyone!
